Myles Rowe makes history with Indy NXT win at Iowa Speedway

Following Saturday’s Indy NXT race at Iowa Speedway, Myles Rowe’s name will forever be etched in the history books as a winner in the Indy NXT Series.  But Rowe’s first career Indy NXT win also makes him the first Black driver to ever win a race in the Indy NXT Series, making his victory even more historic.  Rowe held off championship leader Dennis Hauger to score the win by a margin of 1.39 seconds.  “It means a lot to me,” Rowe said in a post-race news conference regarding his accomplishment. “It’s great that this is a first, but I’m looking for multiple wins and to carry that on to IndyCar.”  Making Rowe’s first career win even more special was the fact that his family was at the racetrack and able to celebrate with him. “I have such a good support system,” Rowe said. “I wouldn’t ask for it any other way, from my family to my friends, to the team, even in the series it has no ends.
