The Jimmy Butler saga derailed the Miami Heat’s 2024-25 season before it began to build any momentum. Since then, Erik Spoelstra’s team has been in an unofficial retooling phase. Miami has some exciting young talent in Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and the recently drafted Kasparas Jakucionis. It also has some viable high-level talent in Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo and Norman Powell. However, the lack of a star-level talent and reliable depth means that Miami’s current roster isn’t seen as a threat in the Eastern Conference.
