The NFL is setting the record straight on its plan to air commercials on RedZone after Scott Hanson confirmed it will happen in some capacity. Per Richard Deitsch of The Athletic, the plan is to space a “limited number of ads throughout the seven-plus hours of the show.”
Deistsch also said there will be double-box ads, and viewers will hear the audio of the ads while the other box will show NFL RedZone. “This move has been contemplated and tested for over a year now, and is completely unrelated to the recent news regarding ESPN and the NFL,” the league said in a statement.
