Through Week 5, 14 teams have scored at least 40 points in a game — including the Texans (44-10 win versus the Ravens) and Colts (40-6 victory against the Raiders) in their wins on Sunday. That is the most 40-point games through the first five weeks of any season in NFL history.

The Buccaneers have scored 135 points and allowed 132 points through five games in 2025. They have trailed in the final minute of the fourth quarter in all five games. They are 4-1 and sit comfortably atop the NFC South.

The 2025 Buccaneers are the first team in NFL history to win four of their first five games of a season and have all of them decided by a field goal (three or fewer points). They are also the first team to win four of their first five games in a season in which they trailed with under one minute left in regulation.
