The No. 24 Tulane secured a 34-8 victory over Florida Atlantic, with quarterback Michael Pratt leading the charge in his South Florida homecoming. Pratt, who hails from the region, showcased his talents by becoming Tulane’s career passing leader, amassing 252 yards and three touchdowns on 21-of-28 passing.
This win allowed Tulane to maintain its position at the top of the American Athletic Conference, boasting a 10-1 record (7-0 in conference play) and sitting at No. 24 in the College Football Playoff rankings. Despite recent close calls, this game marked a return to more decisive victories for the Green Wave, who extended their winning streak to nine games, showcasing their resilience even in the absence of key injured receivers.
Pratt’s connection with Chris Carter for an 8-yard touchdown early in the second half effectively put the game out of reach for Florida Atlantic. The Green Wave’s potent offense, coupled with their strong defensive performance, solidified their position as a contender in the AAC championship race. With a critical matchup against UTSA on the horizon, Tulane has the opportunity to secure their spot in the championship game and continue their impressive season.
