Panthers QB Bryce Young exits game vs. Jets with ankle injury

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young exited the second half of Sunday’s game against the New York Jets after suffering an ankle injury.

Veteran Andy Dalton took over for Young, who is questionable to return, for the final play of the third quarter with Carolina holding a 13-3 lead.

Young was 15 of 28 for 138 yards with one touchdown pass at the time of his injury.

Dalton started five games for the Panthers last season after Young was benched early in the campaign.
