The gunman who opened fire inside 345 Park Ave in Manhattan on Monday has been identified as 27-year-old Shane Tamura, according to the New York Post. He is from Las Vegas.
Photos from outside of the building, which houses the NFL headquarters and an investing company called Blackstone, circulated around social media depicting the suspect appearing to casually walk up to the building with a rifle in-hand. Tamura reportedly began to open fire at around 6:30 p.m. before turning the gun on himself.
He killed one police officer and at least four civilians during the attack and injured several more. The number of victims are expected to grow, according to the report.
The New York Post obtained a photo that shows the gunman lying on the ground with the rifle by his side. His deceased body is blurred to hide the gruesome details of his suicide. However, they showed the blood-smeared Palmetto State Armory AR-15 rifle that was used in the attack.
