NFL commissioner Roger Goodell provided most recent update on Craig Clementi, the NFL employee who was injured during the shooting that occurred at the NFL headquarters in midtown Manhattan on Monday. Goodell shared some good news about his condition.

“It’s just heartbreaking for all of us, devastating,” Goodell told NBC’s Mike Tirico ahead of the 2025 Hall of Fame Game. “Our employee, I saw yesterday in the hospital is stable and improving. Got to spend about an hour with him and is an amazing young man. We’re optimistic about his recovery, and I think that’s good news for all of us in the NFL, and obviously our hearts continue to be in support with their family.

“He has a young family, and I had a chance to meet his brother and parents. I think it’s something that is really hard for all of us to understand and to deal with.”

Clementi was one of several inside 345 Park Avenue who fell victim to the tragic incident brought forth by 27-year-old Shane Tamura. Tamura was identified as the gunman on Monday who killed four people during the tragedy.
