In a riveting encounter at Portland, the New Orleans Pelicans clinched a victory against the Portland Trail Blazers with a score of 110-100. Spearheading the triumph, Trey Murphy III dazzled with an impressive tally of 31 points coupled with eight rebounds, showcasing his burgeoning talent and pivotal role within the team. The Pelicans’ strategic play was further bolstered by C.J. McCollum, a former Trail Blazer, who contributed significantly with 29 points, including five from beyond the arc, and Zion Williamson, who added 22 points and seven rebounds to the mix.

On the opposing side, Deandre Ayton stood out for the Trail Blazers with a robust performance of 30 points and 13 rebounds, while rookie Scoot Henderson made headlines with 19 points and a career-best 15 assists, setting a new franchise record for a rookie. Despite the valiant efforts from Portland, New Orleans‘ cohesive play and strategic prowess paved their way to a crucial win, propelling them to the sixth position in the Western Conference and steering clear of the play-in zone.
