The New Orleans Pelicans wrapped up their preseason with a 118-98 defeat to the Houston Rockets, despite standout efforts from Brandon Ingram and rookie Jordan Hawkins. Ingram, in his only preseason appearance, led the team with 19 points, showcasing his sharp shooting from mid-range and beyond the arc.

Hawkins continued his strong preseason play, following up his impressive game against Orlando with 20 points, including three triples. Yves Missi also made his presence felt with his rim protection and energy on both ends of the court. However, the Pelicans faltered in the fourth quarter, allowing Houston to break away in this Southwest Division contest.
