The New Orleans Pelicans and guard Antonio Reeves have agreed to a three-year, $5.41 million deal, solidifying their commitment to the promising young talent. Drafted 47th overall by the Orlando Magic in the 2024 NBA Draft and subsequently acquired by the Pelicans, Reeves showcased his potential in the Summer League, averaging 11.8 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 steals per game.

With 14 standard contracts on the roster, the Pelicans are confident in Reeves’ ability to contribute significantly. Reeves’ collegiate career saw him excel at Illinois State before transferring to Kentucky, where he averaged an impressive 20.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per game on efficient shooting percentages. His addition is expected to bring depth and scoring abilities to the Pelicans’ backcourt.
