The New Orleans Pelicans, after acquiring Dejounte Murray, have been actively seeking a trade partner for forward Brandon Ingram. Sacramento has shown “exploratory interest” in trading for Ingram, as reported by Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. While discussions “haven’t escalated yet” between the Kings and Pelicans, the Philadelphia 76ers are another potential destination for the former NBA All-Star.
Additionally, the Golden State Warriors are in the mix, according to Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer. During the 2024 NBA Draft, Sacramento proposed a general trade package, including Kevin Huerter, Harrison Barnes, and draft picks. One of those picks was the No. 13 overall selection, used to draft Devin Carter, whom GM Monte McNair was pleasantly surprised to land.
Despite acquiring Carter, the Kings retain their first-round picks from 2026 onward, which could be packaged with Huerter and Barnes for a star player like Ingram. Ingram averaged 20.8 points, 5.7 assists, and 5.1 rebounds in 64 games during the 2023-24 season. The Pelicans, needing a starting-level center and to fill several reserve roles after free agency and trades, might find Sacramento’s offer enticing.
