New Orleans,LA – The New Orleans Pelicans took on the Orlando Magic in the season finale tonight. The Pelicans starters and 6 man JJ Redick were deactivated in this one. New Orleans once again allowed their opponent to shoot the three at a high clip. The Magic shot 15-28 from downtown for 53.6%, which helped them take the lead by as much 22.
The Frank Jackson & Nickeil Alexander Walker backcourt combined for 60 points to push the team to single digits. Josh Hart also scored 23 points grabbed 14 rebounds and had 6 assists in the match up. The Pels battled back but couldn’t get enough stops to pull out the victory late. The team loses 133-127 and finishes the season on a three game losing streak. The Magic top guy who lit New Orleans up was center Nikola Vucevic who scored 23 points 6 rebounds and shot 10-11 from the field & 3-4 from downtown.

New Orleans finishes the season a disappointing 30-42 and changes need to be made. The rumor mill is in high gear about the future of Head Coach Alvin Gentry and the direction of the team.
