New Orleans,La – The New Orleans Pelicans got the season off to a roaring start as they won the first of several scrimmages tonight. The Pelicans blasted the Brooklyn Nets in a looped side affair 99-68. The Pel’s were led by behind the play of guards Etwuan Moore & Nickeil Alexander Walker who combine for 28 points. New Orleans looked hungry, smooth and confidently versus the Nets Wednesday night.

Brooklyn didn’t pose much of a challenge for the Pelicans in scrimmage number one. Here the stat card for New Orleans:

The Brooklyn Nets top scorers were Dzanan Musa 11 pts 4 reb, Jarrett Allen 10 pts 11 reb and Caris Levert 10 pts 4 rebs with 3 assists. New Orleans next match is Saturday July 25 against the Denver Nuggets, who also won tonight.
