Pelicans Wreck Pacers 129-102 ,Haliburton held to Zero pts

by Rell Wright/Pelican Contributor

The New Orleans Pelicans dominated the Indiana Pacers with a 129-102 victory, showcasing their resilience and strategic mastery. Led by Brandon Ingram’s spectacular 34-point performance, which included a 19-point contribution in a record-tying 48-point first quarter, the Pelicans set the tone early in the game. Their remarkable 90.9% shooting accuracy in the first quarter not only established a season-high but also echoed the highest first-quarter shooting percentage since a memorable Dallas Mavericks game in 2014.

Trey Murphy III‘s sharpshooting, with 28 points including six three-pointers, complemented Ingram’s brilliance. The Pelicans’ defense was equally impressive, stifling the Pacers’ offense, notably holding All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton scoreless, a feat not seen since November 2021. This comprehensive team effort, rebounding from a previous loss to the Pacers, underscored the Pelicans’ formidable presence and set a high bar for their upcoming engagements.
