When a quarterback throws a pass and it ends up in the hands of a defender, it goes down in the books as an interception. Peyton Manning and Jared Goff would like to see that change in a very specific situation.
Not all interceptions are the same. Sometimes, quarterbacks throw the perfect pass only for the football to go off the hands of their intended receiver, pop up into the air and fall into the possession of a defender. But still, it gets counted as an interception against the quarterback.
