Jake Retzlaff has committed to a new school after he was suspended by BYU. Retzlaff had been facing a seven-game suspension for violating BYU’s Honor Code after a woman made troubling allegations against the quarterback in a civil lawsuit. Retzlaff denied the allegations but admitted to having consensual sex with the reported victim, which in itself is against the rules of BYU’s Honor Code. On Monday, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that Retzlaff is planning to enroll at Tulane as a walk-on. Retzlaff is expected to compete for a starting job in training camp after Tulane’s Title IX office investigated the allegations against him. The lawsuit against Retzlaff was dismissed on June 30, with both parties agreeing to dismiss with prejudice. There were reports that BYU planned to suspend Retzlaff for seven games, which led to the junior withdrawing from the school.
