New York Jets linebacker Quincy Williams is on track to reach free agency when the new league year opens in March. While Williams is open to re-signing with the Jets, it sounds like he isn’t interested in doing Gang Green any favors later this year. “I haven’t heard anything, haven’t really talked to them or nothing,” Williams said about his future with the Jets during a recent chat with Al Iannazzone of Newsday. “If they make the right moves and stuff like that, I would love being part of the Jets. I’m not like I was last year, betting on it because my brother ain’t here. So it ain’t like no brother discount. It ain’t no family discount, none of that.” Williams was referencing how first-year Jets general manager Darren Mougey acquired assets for defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, Quincy’s brother, and for cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner ahead of the Nov. 4 trade deadline.
