The Vancouver Canucks will welcome back Quinn Hughes to the lineup tonight against the Nashville Predators. Hughes confirmed his return with media on Monday, saying, “I feel good. I’m excited to play.” There was talk that Hughes was close. He traveled with the team and returned to practice. It wasn’t clear if that meant he was joining the team for their game tonight. That is, until Hughes said he was going. “Obviously, it’s the worst missing games, and I felt really good coming into the season, too, so it is what it is.” Hughes has one goal and seven points in nine games, and the Canucks went 1-3 in his absence, including a 5-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. They’ll be thrilled to have him back. Vancouver’s injury list remains extensive, with Conor Garland, Victor Mancini, Derek Forbort, Teddy Blueger, Jonathan Lekkerimaki, Filip Chytil, and Nils Höglander all sidelined.
