Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Quinnen Williams was injured during a Sunday Night Football game against the Minnesota Vikings. He was banged up after making a stop on third down.
The Vikings were facing third-and-inches and ran the ball up the gut. Williams made the stop and his momentum carried him and the ball-carrier past the first down marker.
Nothing initially jumped out about the play on the television broadcast, but Quinnen Williams got up and headed to the sideline after the play. According to numerous reporters, he then entered the team’s medical tent on the sideline.
On3 will update with any relevant information from the team or the television broadcast crew when it becomes available.
Williams was having an excellent evening before the injury. He was even the lucky recipient of a batted pass, coming away with an interception during the first half. It was the second interception of his career.
