Quinshon Judkins is putting the start of his NFL career with the Cleveland Browns on hold to deal with his legal issues. According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, the rookie running back remains unsigned, and he won’t report to training camp on Friday in an effort to sort out his personal life.

“Browns RB Quinshon Judkins remains unsigned and won’t report to training camp today with the rest of the rookies,” Cabot posted on X. “He’s focusing more on his legal matter right now and so are the #Browns.”

The revelation comes after Judkins was arrested on domestic violence and battery chargesAccording to a police report, the Browns rookie is accused of punching a woman in the mouth while they were in a car together.

The woman’s flight arrived at Fort Lauderdale International Airport on July 7 and said Judkins was “showing frustration” after he read text messages from family members. She then said she tried to explain the messages weren’t true and began to stutter. Judkins allegedly hit the woman several more times in other areas of her body, including her left arm and thigh, according to the report.

The woman also kept traveling with him and didn’t call 911 right away because she “felt bad due to the recent success and career” of Judkins as he got ready for his NFL career. After speaking with family and friends, she opted to tell police, per the report.

Judkins was arrested July 12 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., according to police records. He was released from jail Sunday after posting a $2,500 bond and the Browns said they were aware of the situation while working to “gather more information.”
