Copied!
The Baltimore Ravens are taking a wait-and-see approaching to quarterback Lamar Jackson‘s hamstring injury.
Jackson did not participate in the portion of Wednesday’s practice open to media, and head coach John Harbaugh was noncommittal when asked about the two-time Most Valuable Player’s status for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans.
“We’ll just go day by day through the week, you’ll see the injury reports,” Harbaugh said. “It’s really all those guys. We could sit here and you could ask me about every single guy. It’s a fairly long list, you know, who’s got time for that?”

Baltimore indeed has a growing list of injuries to deal with, but none are more important when it comes to being able to climb out of a 1-3 hole than Jackson’s.
Despite the surprising record, Jackson has been stellar through the first month of the 2025 season. He’s thrown for 869 yards with a 71.6 completion percentage and leads the league in touchdown passes (10), yards per attempt (9.1), and passer rating (130.5). He’s also run for 166 yards and another score, but his 15 sacks taken are already just eight fewer than he took during all of last season, and he’s now banged up.
Jackson’s hamstring forced him to leave the Ravens’ Week 4 loss to the Chiefs in the third quarter, and although the score was lopsided at the time of his departure, Harbaugh later said Jackson would not have been able to return regardless of the situation.
As Harbaugh alluded to, Baltimore’s quarterback situation will become clearer with each injury report as the week progresses.
If Jackson does miss time, Cooper Rush would be in line to start against the fellow one-win Texans.
For now, Jackson will keep doing everything in his power to be available.
“Lamar’s working,” Harbaugh said. “He’s doing a great job. I talked to him yesterday for a long time. He’s in here all day today working and in the meetings.”
