Cowboys quarterback Joe Milton left practice Tuesday after hurting his hand, according to Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram . Milton reportedly hit the hand on a defender’s helmet.
It’s unclear at the time of this writing the severity of the injury. Will Grier worked with the second-team offense for the remainder of practice with Milton sidelined.
The QB is getting ready to enter his second NFL season and his first with the Cowboys after being traded from the New England Patriots this offseason. He played one game this past season after starter Drake Maye left on the opening drive, finishing 22-of-29 passing for 241 yards and a touchdown on Jan. 5 against the Bills.
