The Dallas Cowboys worked out a trio of passer rushers in preparation for the start of training camp this week. According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Cowboys brought in Jesse Luketa , Kameron Cline and James Houston .
Each of those players will have a chance to show what they can do and earn a potential contract with the team. Dallas players are scheduled to report to training camp on Monday, per NFL.com.
Luketa is getting ready to enter the fourth season of his NFL career after playing the first three years for the Arizona Cardinals. He is a former seventh-round draft pick out of Penn State with 35 career tackles and one forced fumble across 31 appearances.
Houston is a former sixth-round pick out of Jackson State , but began his college career at Florida . He compiled eight sacks and a forced fumble as a rookie with the Detroit Lions in 2022 across only seven games.
Unfortunately, injuries kept Houston limited to only two games in 2023. He would go on to play in 11 games this past season for both the Lions and the Cleveland Browns, totaling eight tackles.
Finally, Kline played five games for the Indianapolis Colts from 2020-22 and one game for the Buffalo Bills this past season. That in mind, the South Dakota product hasn’t seen a ton of action across the early part of his career, but perhaps this can be a chance for him to break through into the limelight.
