There has been no shortage of coverage surrounding the relationship between Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson . Countless media outlets have produced content centering on the North Carolina coach and his girlfriend, and the coverage from the New York Post has been among the most prolific.
That has even included exclusive coverage revealing a two-hour long rant from Belichick’s daughter-in-law, who claimed Hudson had too much control in Belichick’s life. Another article highlighted Belichick’s appearance to support Hudson at an adult cheerleading competition.
According to a report from NBC’s Mike Florio , that coverage is one of the reasons the New York Giants have no interest in hiring Belichick to become their next head coach. Florio cited “someone in a position to understand the dynamics” as his source.
“The ongoing coverage of Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson by the New York Post is one of the many reasons for the Giants’ complete lack of interest in the possibility of hiring Bill Belichick to coach the team,” he wrote. “While the Giants hiring Belichick likely wouldn’t have happened anyway, the Giants have no interest in hiring a coach who has become a lightning rod for relentless coverage due to his relationship with Hudson.”
Belichick, of course, spent his entire career in the NFL prior to taking the job at North Carolina this season. That included 24 seasons as the head coach of the New England Patriots, which he directed to six Super Bowl wins from 2000-23.
