Report: Mixed updates emerge on Lamar Jackson's confusing injury situation

There are mixed updates on Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson , who suffered a hamstring injury in the game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Jackson suffered a hamstring strain in the game and will be evaluated on Monday. However, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh didn’t reveal much about the severity of Jackson’s injury.

“I don’t have any updates on the seriousness,” Harbaugh said about Jackson and other injured Ravens players. “It doesn’t look like it’s season-ending by any stretch for any of those guys.” Harbaugh also said that he didn’t have an answer for whether Jackson could have returned if the game was close.

ESPN NFL insider Jeff Darlington shared what he saw from Lamar Jackson after the game. “Watching Lamar slowly limp to the team buses after the game, I’d have a hard time believing he could have entered the game, even if it was closer,” Darlington wrote on X/Twitter. “Not to suggest any level of seriousness… but his exit was clearly more than precautionary.”

Jackson exited the game in the third quarter when the Ravens were down 30-13. The two-time NFL MVP completed 14 of his 20 passes for 147 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Jackson also rushed for 48 yards on six carries before suffering the injury.
