Report: Pelicans sign Coach Willie Green and others with Extensions

In a strategic move to solidify their leadership core, the New Orleans Pelicans have discreetly extended contracts for key figures within the organization, including Head Coach Willie Green, Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations David Griffin, and General Manager Trajan Langdon.

According to The Athletic, Green, who was initially hired in July 2021, secretly received a contract extension last year, despite having multiple years left on his existing deal. Both Griffin and Langdon also secured extensions in 2023, aligning the trio contractually and setting the stage for continued stability in the Pelicans’ leadership.

This alignment is pivotal as the Pelicans have shown steady progress under Green’s guidance, enhancing their win total each season to a near franchise-record this year.
