President Donald Trump is an avid sports fan, and while he’s been critical of the NFL at times over the last couple of years, he wants to get involved with one franchise in a big way. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Trump wants the Washington Commanders to name their new stadium after him.
“President Donald Trump wants the Washington Commanders to name their planned $3.7 billion stadium after him, multiple sources with knowledge of the situation told ESPN,” Schefter posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday.
The new stadium will certainly be a sight to behold, and the President of the United States wants to be part of the fun, it seems. Perhaps Trump and the Commanders brass can talk it over this weekend, as the President will be in attendance for Washington’s clash with the Detroit Lions, per Pat McAfee.
