The Cincinnati Bengals have been viewed as potential sellers heading into Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline, but there is plenty of reason to be skeptical that they are willing to part with one of their most coveted players. Trey Hendrickson was the subject of trade talk throughout most of the offseason. The Bengals finally agreed to a new one-year, $30M contract with him prior to Week 1, but the rumors have resurfaced with the Bengals 3-6 heading into the deadline. Joe Burrow has been out with a foot injury and will not return until December at the earliest, so Cincinnati’s chances of contending for a postseason spot appear slim. But are the Bengals actually open to dealing Hendrickson? Their asking price suggests there is no sense of urgency, at the very least. On Monday, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that the Bengals have told teams they want at least a first-round draft pick in any potential trade for Hendrickson. Teams are hopeful that Cincinnati will lower the asking price ahead of Tuesday’s 4 p.m
