Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson plans to end his holdout and report to training camp, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Hendrickson was the last player left holding out of camp and is reportedly still no closer to reaching a new deal with the team.
By returning to camp, Hendrickson stops the $50,000/day fine he was accruing. It also will hopefully create good faith with management to finally get a deal done.
Hendrickson is entering the final year of his contract and will make $21 million this season according to Spotrac. He is coming off of a year in which he led the NFL with 17.5 sacks in addition to two forced fumbles, six passes defended and 46 total tackles.
