The New Orleans Saints have unveiled their 2024 schedule featuring an exciting lineup of games that includes three prime-time showdowns. The Saints will kick off their season with a home game against their NFC South rival, the Carolina Panthers, on Sunday, September 8th at noon CT. This marks the second consecutive year the Saints open their season at the Caesars Superdome, and they’ll be looking to extend their impressive streak of five consecutive season-opening victories.
Following the season opener, the Saints will face a challenging road ahead. They will travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys on September 15th and then return home to host the Philadelphia Eagles on September 22nd. A tough stretch includes back-to-back road games against the Atlanta Falcons and the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, the latter being a thrilling “Monday Night Football” contest on October 7th. The Saints’ schedule also includes another prime-time appearance on “Thursday Night Football” against the Denver Broncos. As the season progresses, the Saints will host several key matchups at home, including games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns, before a pivotal Week 16 prime-time clash at Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers. New Orleans will conclude their regular season with a final showdown against the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay, with the date and time to be announced.
The 2024 schedule promises a blend of high-stakes matchups and travel challenges. Eight of the Saints’ 17 games will be against teams that had a winning record in 2023, including seven playoff teams. The Saints’ road schedule will see them travel 12,060 miles, a slight decrease from last year’s mileage, with notable trips to Los Angeles to face the Chargers. Despite the travel, the team will stay mostly within the Central and Eastern Time Zones, minimizing the potential for travel fatigue. As the Saints prepare for the new season, fans can anticipate an exhilarating journey filled with critical games that could shape the team’s path to the playoffs.
