The New Orleans Saints have made a significant move by agreeing to terms with a variety of undrafted free agents, showcasing their strategy to tap into overlooked talent to strengthen their squad for the upcoming NFL season. This group includes players from various backgrounds and positions, promising to add depth and fresh dynamics to the team. Highlight signings include Nathan Latu, a defensive end from Oklahoma State known for his ability to pressure quarterbacks, and TCU safety Millard Bradford, who has demonstrated versatility and resilience in his college career.

Among the offensive talents, wide receivers Jermaine Jackson from Idaho and Mason Tipton from Yale are set to bring their catching talents to the Saints’ aerial attack. Jackson, despite a downturn in his latest season, has shown potential as a return specialist, adding a valuable skill set to his profile. On the other hand, Tipton dazzled in his final year with impressive stats, showcasing speed and reliable hands. The inclusion of Colorado State tight end Dallin Holker, who excelled after transferring from BYU, further boosts the team’s offensive options, particularly in the red zone where his size and catching ability could be crucial.
The Saints have also focused on enhancing their special teams and defensive depth. Matthew Hayball from Vanderbilt will bring his Australian-style punting technique, which could prove to be a strategic asset in controlling field positions. On defense, players like Kyler Baugh, a sturdy defensive tackle from Minnesota, and Isaiah Stalbird, a versatile linebacker from South Dakota State, are expected to contribute significantly. These signings reflect the Saints’ commitment to building a well-rounded team, capable of competing at the highest levels by integrating players who have shown strong potential but were not selected during the draft rounds.
