In a significant move to bolster their receiving corps, the New Orleans Saints have officially signed former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Cedrick Wilson to a two-year contract, as reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN. Wilson, who first carved out a niche for himself in Dallas, emerged from the shadows of a sixth-round pick to become a vital cog in the Cowboys’ offense, especially during his breakout 2021 season where he notched 45 receptions for 602 yards and six touchdowns.

Despite a less impactful stint with the Dolphins, where he struggled to secure his position behind stars Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, Wilson’s potential remained undeniable. With the Saints recently parting ways with Michael Thomas and a relatively thin wide receiver room led by Chris Olave, Wilson’s acquisition comes at a crucial time. The Saints are in dire need of experienced talent to revitalize their passing game, and Wilson’s arrival could provide just the spark they need as they prepare for the upcoming season.

The New Orleans Saints have fortified their quarterback lineup by securing Nathan Peterman on a one-year contract, reinforcing the team’s depth behind newly acquired QB Derek Carr. Adding to the narrative of Nathan Peterman’s journey to the New Orleans Saints, it’s noteworthy that his connection with Derek Carr isn’t a new development. Peterman served as one of Carr’s backups during the 2020 and 2021 seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders, Peterman has seen action in 15 games, including five starts, showcasing his capabilities with a completion rate of 53.1%, accumulating 712 passing yards, 4 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.
