New Orleans Saints‘ star running back, Alvin Kamara, is taking proactive steps to address his arrest in connection with a 2022 altercation in Las Vegas. Kamara has expressed his intention to meet personally with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to discuss the incident and provide his side of the story.
Saints head coach Dennis Allen revealed this plan, emphasizing that Kamara is eager to find resolution and put the situation behind him to focus on the upcoming season and contribute to the team’s success.

Kamara’s meeting with Commissioner Goodell comes after the running back reached a plea agreement in early July, resulting in the reduction of charges from a felony to a misdemeanor for breach of peace. As part of the plea deal, Kamara was ordered to perform 30 hours of community service and pay $105,000 in medical bills to Darnell Greene Jr., the individual injured in the fight. Additionally, Kamara offered a public apology as part of a private settlement reached with Greene in July.
While the league office has not yet informed the Saints whether Kamara will face a suspension for his involvement, the NFL’s personal conduct policy states that players may be subject to suspension even without a criminal conviction. Analysts speculate that Kamara could potentially face a suspension of 4 to 6 games based on past similar incidents in the NFL.
As Kamara takes a proactive approach to address the situation, he aims to present his case to Commissioner Goodell and seek closure on the matter. The Saints organization and their star running back hope for a positive resolution, allowing Kamara to focus on the upcoming season and continue to be a vital asset to the team’s aspirations for success on the field.
