Scott Frost shares what he learned while working with Los Angeles Rams

Scott Frost has had quite the journey since the last time he was sitting on stage at a conference media day as the UCF Knights football coach. In eight years he was the Knights coach, took the same job at Nebraska , had a brief stint in the NFL and back again.

Frost’s time in the NFL spanned one year (2024), where he worked with Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams. He held the role of senior analyst, and is grateful to those who gave him the opportunity.

“I’m grateful to Sean (McVay) and Les (Snead) and the rest of the guys out there giving me a chance to be out there for a year,” Frost said at Big 12 media days last week. “It really kind of reignited my passion for what I love to do, being around the game and coaching. I didn’t really have an intention of leaving pro football, but UCF opened, and that was easy decision for me because it was a place that I had so much fun at before.

“Those guys out in LA have an unbelievable building. They surrounded themselves with unbelievable people, top to bottom on that staff, I can’t compliment enough. I’m grateful for to them for letting me spend a year out there.”

The Rams finished the 2024-25 season with a 10-7 record, losing in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. It was a step back from the spotlight for Frost, who had previously been the head coach at Nebraska for five seasons. He ended his run as the only Nebraska coach in half a century to finish without a winning record during his tenure.
