Several pieces of injury news are coming tonight out of Cincinnati. An optimistic bit, though, has arrived in an update on DE Shemar Stewart.
Per Jordan Schultz, Stewart, who left today’s win over Jacksonville with a leg injury, is thought “to have avoided anything major”. Nothing official yet on the rookie at defensive end, but Schultz noted that this could end up being a week-to-week designation for him rather than anything more long-term for the Bengals.
“Sources: #Bengals rookie DE Shemar Stewart, who left Sunday’s game with an ankle/knee injury and was seen on crutches, is believed to have avoided anything major,” Schultz posted this evening. “The current expectation is it’s a week-to-week injury and he will be back sooner than later.”
