The SMU Mustangs have to feel pretty good about where they’re at as the final stretch of this 2025 college football season quickly approaches. Rhett Lashlee’s team is 5-2 and third in the ACC standings behind 7-0 Georgia Tech and 6-1 Virginia. SMU is coming off a big-time win over Clemson and the Mustangs have now won three in a row and four out of their last five. Impressively enough, they’ve done it with quarterback Kevin Jennings battling an ankle injury that has been bugging him since the second game of the season, a 48-45 loss to Baylor.
