Pittsburgh Steelers star defensive lineman Cam Heyward returned to team drills on Tuesday, ending what had been a hold-in throughout training camp as he attempts to get a new contract from the team. Heyward had not participated in team drills in nearly three weeks due to his unhappiness with the three-year contract extension he signed prior to the 2024 season. Whether this means Heyward is going to be ready for game action, however, is another unanswered question. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said reporters would have to ask Heyward that question, while Heyward reportedly declined interview requests.
