Syracuse pulls off recruiting stunner by landing five-star WR over Michigan

College football recruiting is getting crazier by the day.  On Saturday, one hour after his expected commitment time, five-star wide receiver Calvin Russell, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound receiver out of Miami, surprised plenty of people when he chose the Syracuse Orange over the Michigan Wolverines. Heading into the announcement, there weren’t any crystal ball projections. None of the national experts had gone on record with predictions. It truly was a 50/50 commitment, but one that Michigan, a team expected to compete for national titles over the next few years with Bryce Underwood at quarterback, was expected to win.
