TCU suffers second big loss within 24 hours with Malick Diallo injury

It has not been the best start to the 2025-26 college basketball season for the TCU Horned Frogs, and that’s putting it lightly. First, they were upset in their season opener by New Orleans, a Southland Conference school. The Privateers beat the Horned Frogs, 78-74, at TCU’s Schollmaier Arena. There’s plenty of season left, but that’s a tough loss to bounce back from. To make matters worse, starting center Malick Diallo left the game with 8:29 to go in the first half with a knee injury he suffered after going up for an offensive rebound.  He left the game and didn’t return, and now, less than 24 hours after the devastating loss, it’s being reported that Diallo will miss the rest of this season. The 6-foot-9, 238-pound sophomore center from Bamako, Mali, suffered a torn ACL, ending his season. This was a tough break for Diallo, who is, unfortunately, no stranger to this type of injury.
