Terry Bradshaw believes there is one former NFL quarterback who was better than Tom Brady . While recently appearing on former Atlanta Falcons linebacker Tim Green ‘s podcast this week, Bradshaw said Otto Graham should be the GOAT over Brady, and he explained why.
“People say, ‘Well, is it really that important?’” Terry Bradshaw said, per Awful Announcing. “I always hear people say, ‘Tom Brady’s the greatest quarterback to ever play.’ OK, is he really? Otto Graham may be the greatest quarterback to ever play. How many titles did Otto win? Look it up. And Tom lost three. I was 4-0. (Joe) Montana was 4-0. Tom was 7-3. Seven minus three is four. Four, four, four. That’s kind of the way I look at it. People are something else. We always want to know who was the best, don’t we?”
Graham played in the NFL from 1946 to 1955 and spent his entire career with the Cleveland Browns. There were no Super Bowls at the time, but Graham led the Browns to four AAFC (All-America Football Conference) championships and three NFL championships.
Terry Bradshaw shares more on the GOAT debate
Brady won seven Super Bowls with two different teams (New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers) when he played in the NFL from 2000 to 2022. He played in three more Super Bowls, so his 10 Super Bowl appearances are an NFL record. That said, Graham also played in 10 league championship games, meaning he played in a championship game every season he played.
