A Texas Longhorns wide receiver is happy with the quarterback he has under center for the upcoming season. DeAndre Moore Jr. described the differences between former Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers, taken by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round of the 2025 draft, and Arch Manning, set to become Texas’ full-time starter in the upcoming season. During a news conference on Thursday, the junior from Anaheim, California, suggested that Ewers “had baby wheels” and Manning had “super wheels,” per Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods.com. “Oh, you know,” Moore said, hinting with the past tense that Ewers had the “baby wheels.” Moore likes the velocity Manning has on his throws versus the loft Ewers had on the ball. “Quinn’s were a little bit more of a pillow, a little bit of a cushion, he will kind of loft it in there,” Moore said, via Orangebloods.com.
