After trading for point guard De’Aaron Fox in the middle of the 2024-25 NBA season, Fox seems to be the facilitator of the future for Victor Wembanyama for the long-term future. Fox and the Spurs have reportedly agreed on a four year, $229 million contract extension, tying the former fifth-overall pick 2022-23 Jerry West Clutch Player of the Year award winner to San Antonio until 2029-30. Fox played 17 games for the Spurs in 2024-25, averaging 19.7 points, 6.8 assists and 1.5 steals-per-contest.
