While Paul Skenes is the Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher that gets the spotlight, fellow starter Mitch Keller is also having a very strong season for the woeful Pirates. Keller has made 20 starts this season with a 3.48 ERA and 109 strikeouts in 119 innings this year. He also went into the All-Star break on a heater, with a 1.96 ERA and just .85 WHIP (walks and hits per inning pitched) in his last six starts. The seven-year veteran should garner plenty of trade deadline interest, and is reportedly being targeted by the very pitching-needy New York Yankees. The Yankees are still without 2024 A.L.
