While Kevin Durant is the headliner of the blockbuster Phoenix/Houston trade that happened just days before the 2025 NBA draft, he wasn’t the only former second-overall pick involved in the transaction. The other player is Jalen Green, who the Rockets took with the second pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. Green has been inconsistent but productive in his four years with the Rockets, averaging 20.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists-per-game and starting all 82 regular season games over the last two campaigns. But in the 2025 postseason Green was many of the young Rockets to regress a bit in the first round against the Golden State Warriors, with his shooting percentages dropping from 42.3 percent in the regular season to 37.2 percent in the postseason and scoring just eight points in the Rockets 103-89 Game 7 loss to the Golden State.
