The Pittsburgh Steelers have already paid one star player on their defense, but with just less than a month before the 2025 season kicks off, they might need to pay another. Cameron Heyward told the media he’s considering a holdout into the regular season . “I’m looking to be valued,” the 36 year old told ESPN’s Brooke Pryor. “I know what I bring to the team and what I’m capable of on and off the field. It’s hard for me, after the year I’ve had, to justify playing at the number I’m at.” After playing in just 11 games in 2023, Heyward played a full season for the Steelers in 2024 totaling 71 tackles with eight sacks and 12 tackles-for-loss en route to a first-team All-Pro designation.
