Happy 39th birthday to 2011 PWFA Most Improved Player award winner and Super Bowl XLVI champion, Victor Cruz! While his career was shortened by significant injuries, Cruz was one of the most exciting wide receivers in the NFL at his healthy peak. In his six-year career, the UMass product caught 303 passes for 4,549 yards and 25 touchdowns. In his one Super Bowl appearance, Cruz caught four passes for 25 yards and the opening touchdown in the New York Giants second championship win over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Which brings us to today’s quiz. Cruz’s best season of his career came in that 2011-12 Super Bowl run, with his 1,536 yards still a record for the most in a season by a Giants receiver.
