Analysis:
For the Saints, the concerning issue is the number of players who didn’t participate (DNP) in Thursday’s practice. It’s never a good sign when players miss back-to-back days, as it puts their status for Sunday’s game in question. The four DNP players for the Saints, particularly tight end Juwan Johnson and safety Lonnie Johnson Jr., could have a significant impact.
On a brighter note, wide receiver Chris Olave and G/T James Hurst both made progress, transitioning from limited participation (LP) to full participation (FP), indicating they’re on track to play.
For the Texans, offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil and wide receiver Robert Woods both improved from DNP to LP, which is a positive sign. The number of Texans players who were full participants on Thursday is encouraging, as it suggests that the team is relatively healthy ahead of their match against the Saints.
