Troubling details emerge from Cowboys WR KaVontae Turpin’s arrest

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver KaVontae Turpin is facing two charges after he was arrested over the weekend, and some new details about the alleged incident have surfaced. Turpin was arrested following a traffic stop on Saturday in Allen, Texas. The return specialist was charged with possession of marijuana and unlawful carrying of a weapon. Both charges are misdemeanors. According to an arrest report from the Allen Police Department that was obtained by TMZ, Turpin was pulled over at 11:49 p.m. on Saturday after officers say they clocked him driving 97 mph in a 70-mph zone. During the stop, police say they saw an unholstered 9mm pistol “in plain view” on the back seat of Turpin’s 2022 Dodge. Less than two ounces of marijuana were then found in the center console of the car. Turpin was taken to a local jail and booked on the two aforementioned charges. He posted bond and was released.
