Troy Aikman feels for Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow , who is expected to miss three months of action due to a toe injury. On Monday Night Countdown , the legendary NFL quarterback and Monday Night Football commentator reacted to the news of Burrow suffering the third big injury of his career.
“The train keeps moving. This team certainly is going to out next week and do the best they can without Joe Burrow,” Troy Aikman said. “There’s not a bigger fan of Joe Burrow than myself. I love to watch him play, love the way he competes, and certainly a great player.”
Aikman continued, “For him to have gone through the injuries the way that he has, as a fan and then obviously for an organization , it’s absolutely demoralizing. …We all know that if this team is going to achieve what they had hoped to do, Joe Burrow was going to be at the helm. It goes back to last year when they were unable to take advantage of a healthy Joe Burrow throughout the entire season and didn’t make it to the postseason. He’s too good a player to not get to play as much time as what he will end up missing again this year.”
